It was in 1967 that the Bembridge Lifeboat was put in place after £524 was donated to the RNLI by the citizens of Worcester.

It was delivered in the October of that year and in November, she was called out for the very time. The boat was called the City of Worcester to thank the people of Worcester for their donation.

Since November of 1867, a lifeboat has been on call for any emergency rescues that have been needed.
